Who Gets To Flourish? Art and Access to Personal and Collective Restoration

Artwork: HEAL (Lynell Hill), “Emissary”

This exhibition emerges from a shared question between Impact Arts and CrossPurpose, a nonprofit committed to abolishing relational, economic, and spiritual poverty through career and community development.

As CrossPurpose cultivates spaces of opportunity and belonging, this gallery expands that work using art as a site of reflection, interruption, and healing. Featuring work by incarcerated artists Sonny Lee, Hector Castillo, Riccardo Kirven, Mario Rios, and Lynell Hill, Who Gets To Flourish? invites viewers to confront the systems of mass incarceration that shape access to safety, creativity, stability, and restoration.

Through these works, we are asked to reconsider what conditions are necessary for individuals and communities impacted by the criminal-legal system to truly flourish.

Opening Reception: Thursday, April 9, 5-7pm
